Hey guys, you've gotta try this amazing salmon recipe we just discovered—it's seriously awesome!
You know, there are a ton of "bang bang" recipes out there, but this one? It's my take on it, and trust me, it's something special.
We cooked it up in the air fryer this time, but you could totally pop it in the oven at 375 for 10-15 min or cook it on the stove top.
Trust me, it's got the perfect blend of spicy and savory flavors that we all love. Bang Bang Salmon nestled over a bed of your favorite grains, surrounded by yummy roasted veggies we can't get enough of. Top it off with some sliced avocado and maybe even some edamame for an extra protein boost. It's a meal that's not just delicious, but also made with lots of love—just like all our favorite family recipes.
Yields 4-6 Servings
INGREDIENTS
Bang Bang Sauce:
1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 tsp Sriracha
4 Tbsp chili sauce/paste (such as Sambal oelek)
For the Salmon Bites:
2 Tbsp neutral oil (such as canola or vegetable)
1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
2 large cloves garlic minced
1 tsp sriracha
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 lb salmon filet chopped into bite-sized chunks (with or without skin, your choice)
Toasted Sesame Seeds for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl mix together all the ingredients for the Bang Bang Sauce and set aside
In a medium size bowl, whisk together the neutral oil, rice wine vinegar, garlic, sriracha, and sesame oil
Add salmon chunks to the oil/vinegar mix, ensuring every piece is coated well and set aside for 10-15 mins.
Preheat air fryer, setting it to 400 and 8 mins
Drain the salmon chunks, removing as much of the oil/vinegar mix as possible
Add 1/2 of the Bang Bange Sauce to the salmon chucks and gently mix ensuring every piece is coated. Set aside remaining sauce to be used as a garnish.
Add salmon chunks to air fryer, ensuring not to overlap and leaving a gap between piece.
Once first batch has finished, check for doneness. Cut a piece in half and check the middle.
If it's not cooked to your liking, return it to the air fryer and continue cooking in two-minute intervals until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
You may have to cook them in a couple of batches.
For those pieces already cooked, set aside on a plate covered with foil to keep warm.
Once all batches are cooked, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve in bowls with your preferred grain, veggies, and toppings! For an extra bang.... drizzle with remaining Bang Bange Sauce! YUM!
